The image kept coming up in my head after a chit-chat with a friend, so i had to draw it down to get rid of the obsession. So, to tell the truth, there's no particular story attached to it. so i gave it to 2 of my friends and told them to give the image a meaning. each one gave me her completely different version based on their own view and personal experiences. this is kinda interesting...
So this is just a concept piece, what's your story, then?
Every day she dips into the pond hidden in the woods behind her house; she doesn't mind the cold because the fish give her kisses. Maybe someday one will turn into a prince.

"I don't believe that I would die if I saw you face to face, but that my spirit would become so alive it took my body's place."

"Do you ever wonder where fish come from? Are they born from the depths of the sea in that secret place where the merpeople live? I bet they flow like kelp down there. I wish I could be a fish."
She looks sad, yet slightly contemplative. I feel like the water is filling slowly up around her, but she doesn't notice. Above is nothing but blankness, and below is this world full of life. This is wonderful!
I love the colours, it´s VERY inspiring To me, she doesn´t want to let the world know what she´s really like. A Jason Mraz song says "Though she lives out on the surface, she is still a universe", that´s what I thought when I saw it!
I had this artwork favorited for a few months now, because I fell in love with it.
Then I went to a local art festival and in the painting competition, someone had copied this picture and submitted it. It looked exactly the same as this image, except the colors were done in watercolor, and the goldfish were a bit bigger. It could not have possibly have been a coincidence, because the girl was posed the same way, so were the goldfish.
They didn't win anything, and I suspect it was from their watercolor skills. But as for composition and idea, it probably got high marks. It just makes me mad that someone had to copy someone else's idea, and then go as far as to submit it in a contest!

It is inevitable, that someday these hands will become edible.

And I'll stand, with arms high and heart abandoned, in awe, of the one who gave it all~Hillsong United

Life is like photography,we use the negatives to develop.
