Denizens of the old forest
creatures of ev'ry kind
weeped their nights away
missing little Red every day.
She'd been lost to adulthood
forgotten her forest adventures
had hung her hood and childish dresses
long ago in folklore's wood.
The wise 'shrooms
saddened by this
a solution they found:
To keep her memory alive
we will dress as the child!
And so they did
their soft helms dyed
of crimson red
and have ever since
in memory of her.
